Off-Leash Reliability

A dog you can trust without a leash

Off-leash reliability does not come from a few practice sessions in the backyard. It is built day by day, in open places with real distractions, which is why it lives in our three-week Off-Leash Program. It includes everything in the two-week board and train and then takes the leash away, step by step, for owners who love adventuring with their dogs.

What The Program Builds

What the off-leash program adds

A recall you can count on

Come on the first call is the command that matters most off leash. It is trained and then proofed around distractions until it holds.

Open, busy places

The work moves into open, high-distraction environments, because that is where an off-leash dog has to listen.

Three weeks, not two

The extra week goes into off-leash reliability, built on the same six core commands as the two-week program.

Freedom with control

The e-collar is included and lets you stay in touch with your dog at a distance, so off-leash time is safer for everyone.

Handover and refresher

An in-depth, one-on-one session at the end shows you how to handle your dog, and a lifetime refresher is included.

What Las Vegas dog owners say

“He walked great on a leash, but would run away if he ever got loose. 3 weeks with Ernesto and Hugo became the perfect dog. I have walked him without a leash since the day he graduated.”

William OakleyVerified Google review

“We selected the three week off leash training for our retriever puppy! She was struggling with jumping, chewing, bolting out doors, and tugging on the leash. … After training our pup came home following all the commands promised.”

Elisa Tiberti RoweVerified Google review

“Frankie was very vocal and anxious to meet other dogs and had bad recall, but Ernesto did a great job helping Frankie over the course of 3 weeks.”

Off-leash training questions

Can my dog really learn to listen off leash?

That is what the 3-Week Off-Leash Program is for. It builds on the six core commands and then adds off-leash reliability, trained in open places with distractions. How far each dog goes depends on the dog, and your trainer will be straight with you about that.

Why is off-leash training a board and train?

Because it takes daily work in real places. A dog that comes when called in the backyard and a dog that comes when called in a busy park are two different dogs, and getting from one to the other takes repetition every day. That is what three weeks with a professional trainer gives your dog.

What does the off-leash program cost?

$4,485, with an e-collar included. The two-week On-Leash Program is $3,485 if you do not need off-leash work. Both are on our plans and pricing page. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.

Can my dog go off leash anywhere afterward?

Only where off-leash dogs are allowed. Many parks and trails require a leash, so follow the rules posted wherever you walk. The training means your dog listens when it is off leash; it does not change the rules.

How old does my dog need to be?

Your dog needs to be at least 20 weeks old to start a board and train with us. We do not run a separate puppy program, so a younger puppy waits until then.
