Summerlin is the master-planned community on the western edge of the valley, named after Jean Amelia Summerlin, Howard Hughes's grandmother. It sits right up against Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, and its villages are laced with trails and parks.

Ernesto Rincon is a Marine Corps veteran and a lifelong Las Vegas local. His interest in training started during his military service, watching Belgian Malinois at work, and after adopting a Malinois of his own he threw himself into dog training.
