Where Daisy started
Daisy is a rescue Great Dane. When she came to Off Leash K9 Training of Las Vegas she had no training and no manners, and she growled and barked at anyone, especially men.
That combination is serious in a dog who weighs 95 pounds. Her family also knew what she really was underneath: sweet and loving.
The training journey
Daisy spent two weeks with one of our trainers. For a dog who is wary of people, that stretch does two jobs at once: it builds the commands, and it builds the experience of a person who is fair, calm and consistent every single day.
What actually changed
- She listens. The basics are there now.
- She rarely growls. And she does much better in public.
- Car rides are calmer. She lies down in the vehicle.
- House rules stick. She stays off the furniture and only sleeps in her own beds.
