Local dog training you can trust

Off Leash K9 Training is the most-loved dog training company serving Paradise and the Las Vegas Valley.

If your mail says Las Vegas but you live in Paradise, you are in the right place. Dogs here can train in the two-week board and train, which suits most dogs, or the three-week off-leash program. Our reactive dog program is for dogs who overreact to other dogs, people or animals. Every price is on our plans and pricing page.

Why it matters

Why professional training is essential for Paradise dog owners

Behavior modification

Address jumping, pulling, barking, anxiety, and reactivity at the root, not just the symptom.

Safety & control

A dog that listens the first time is a safer dog around traffic, livestock, wildlife, and people.

Stronger bond

Clear communication builds trust, so your dog looks to you for direction instead of guessing.

Skills that transfer

We hand the training over to you at pickup, so the obedience keeps working at home.

Family harmony

A calm, well-mannered dog means a calmer home for kids, guests, and other pets alike.

What we offer

Our dog training programs for Paradise dogs

Every program is a board and train: your dog boards with a professional trainer, then you get a one-on-one handover session. Here is how they break down.

Board & train

Our two-week program meets the needs of most dog owners. Your dog boards with a professional trainer and trains every day.

  • Come, sit, down, place, heel and off
  • Proofed at busy malls, shopping centers and parks
  • One-on-one handover session at the end

Off-leash training

Three weeks that build on the two-week program and add off-leash reliability, for dogs who go everywhere with you.

  • A recall you can count on
  • Open, high-distraction places
  • E-collar included

Reactive dog training

A three-week, on-leash program for dogs who overreact to other dogs, people or animals.

  • Impulse control around triggers
  • Confidence for worried dogs
  • Parks at off-peak hours and neighborhood walks

Training in Paradise

Built for how Paradise dogs actually live

Paradise is the part of the valley most visitors have been to without learning its name. It holds Harry Reid International Airport, UNLV and most of the Las Vegas Strip, and about 191,000 people live here, even though their mail says Las Vegas.

It began as farmland. People called this end of the valley Paradise Valley as early as 1910, because a high water table made the land so fertile. Today a walk here can mean jets overhead, traffic on the big boulevards and crowds around the university. That is a lot for a dog to take in.

So we train around that kind of noise on purpose. Our board and train proves commands at busy malls and shopping centers, not just in a quiet yard. A dog who panics or overreacts starts somewhere calmer: the reactive dog program begins at moderate distraction levels and moves at a pace that keeps everyone safe.

Who you will be working with

Ernesto Rincon is a Marine Corps veteran and a lifelong Las Vegas local. His interest in training started during his military service, watching Belgian Malinois at work, and after adopting a Malinois of his own he threw himself into dog training.

He takes a personalized approach, tailoring the training to each dog's needs and temperament, and his goal is long-lasting results for every family he works with.

Frequently asked questions

My address says Las Vegas, but I live in Paradise. Do you cover me?

Yes. Paradise addresses use Las Vegas in the mail, and either way you are inside the area we cover across the valley. If you are ever unsure whether we reach you, call and ask.

Jets, traffic and crowds rattle my dog. Can training help?

It can, and the first step is telling us what your dog does. For a worried dog, the 3-Week Reactive Dog Program works on confidence and impulse control around specific triggers. A dog who is simply distracted may do well in the 2-Week On-Leash Program, which proves commands in busy places. The phone consultation is free.

We live in an apartment. Does board and train still work for us?

Yes. Your dog boards with a professional trainer for the whole program, so the daily training does not depend on how much space you have at home. Commands like place and heel come home with your dog, and your one-on-one session at the end shows you how to use them.

What does each program cost?

The 2-Week On-Leash Program is $3,485. The 3-Week Off-Leash Program and 3-Week Reactive Dog Program are $4,485 each. An e-collar is included in all three, and our plans and pricing page has the details. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.

Is my dog old enough?

Your dog needs to be at least 20 weeks old to start. We do not run a separate puppy program, so younger puppies wait until then. If you are not sure when to book, call us and we will help you work it out.
